Kindergarten

Kindergarten are designed to provide the harmonious physical and mental development of the children, prevent illnesses, transfer to family life the educational and hygienic customs and habits of the institution and help parents to know and better orient their children.

These institutions were created on April 10, 1961 to care for children from the earliest ages and to incorporate women into the work force.

For several decades the Kindergarten in Cuba have favored the full integration of women into society and played an important role in the formation of infants from the earliest ages. With exemplarity and commitment they carry out their daily tasks and it is surprising the knowledge that children acquire in these schools, through different areas of development such as: The Mother Tongue, Elementary Notions of Mathematics, Physical Education, Music, Plastic Arts, Socio-Moral, Knowledge of the World of Objects and Phonic Analysis.

Sleeping on cots, eating without adult help, fastening shoes, and learning other elementary issues that give a certain degree of independence, are also important actions that the little ones learn in these spaces, which have been increasingly strengthened with qualified personnel.

Psychologists and pedagogues admit that this stage is decisive for the later development of the individual's personality, which is why it is vital to pay constant attention to all the factors involved.

Today they celebrate the 62nd anniversary of its creation with varied activities and with the joy that characterizes the little ones.

Kindergarten "Castillito de Miel" of our municipality has not missed the opportunity to join this celebration with the teachers and teachers who give their best every day to make these little ones happy.
