Solidarity organizations, citizens and governments around the world reject the economic, financial and commercial blockade that the United States imposes on Cuba with the purpose of suffocating the Cuban people and overthrowing its constitutional order.
Sixty-one years after the U.S. government made the blockade official, there have been numerous expressions of repudiation of such an unjust policy;
That is why in the World Day of Actions against the Blockade several activities took place in the municipality, the meeting of the federates to demand the cessation of this policy in which they exposed several examples of the creativity that characterizes them in the attention to the family, of the ingenuity that they bring out to face the obstacles.
Melba Guerrero Hidalgo, an education sector worker, showed some of the materials that are the result of the inventiveness of parents and teachers to make classes motivating, scientific, innovative and developmental, including teaching aids, individual composers, alphabets, files and spelling profiles.
Ana Augier, head of the rehabilitation service in the health area of Santa Lucía, referred to the impact of the blockade on the health sector and highlighted the values of the group she leads which, with ingenuity and creativity, carries out this program that affects the quality of life of the population.
Iraida Portelles, member of the Municipal Committee of the Federation of Cuban Women, said that there is no moral right to accuse Cuba of disrespecting human rights when it is precisely the unilateral blockade that has been the massive and flagrant violation of the rights of the Cuban people for more than 60 years.

But not only women have been protagonists of the activities against the blockade, children also raised their voices and carried out numerous activities such as those carried out at the September 28 School Center during the provincial day for the World Day of Action against the Blockade.
On the World Day of Actions against the Blockade, the municipality of Rafael Freyre hosts the central activities of the province.
